Sentinel Diagnostics at ESGE Days 2026

Sentinel Diagnostics at ESGE Days 2026

From 14 to 16 May 2026, Milan will host ESGE Days, the annual congress of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, a key European meeting for updates in digestive endoscopy. The event will take place at the Allianz MiCo – Milano Convention Centre and will bring together specialists from all over the world to discuss the latest scientific evidence, emerging technologies, and clinical best practices in endoscopy.

In this context, Sentinel Diagnostics will be present with its own stand – Booth 65 – to meet gastroenterologists, endoscopists, nurses, and laboratory professionals interested in integrated diagnostic pathways for the prevention and management of gastrointestinal diseases.

From screening to triage of symptomatic patients

Screening for colorectal cancer remains a public health priority and a cornerstone of prevention programmes in Europe, thanks to its ability to detect precancerous lesions and early-stage neoplasms. At the same time, effective management of symptomatic patients requires reliable tools for triage, capable of optimising access to endoscopy and improving the appropriateness of diagnostic pathways.

Sentinel Diagnostics operates on both fronts, supporting clinicians in defining structured pathways that range from the general population to patients with gastrointestinal symptoms, integrating endoscopy and laboratory diagnostics in a unified approach to prevention and patient care.

The FIT line: FOB, calprotectin and Helicobacter pylori

At ESGE Days 2026, Sentinel Diagnostics will present its FIT line, designed to meet the needs of population screening programmes and triage of patients with abdominal and intestinal symptoms. Faecal immunochemical tests for the detection of occult blood (FOB) are now a key tool to selectively identify individuals who should be referred for endoscopic work-up, helping to reduce pressure on resources and improve programme quality.

The Sentinel offering is completed by automated assays for faecal calprotectin and for Helicobacter pylori in immunoturbidimetry, which support risk stratification and triage of symptomatic patients within an evidence-based medicine framework. The goal is to provide an integrated, standardised panel that can be easily incorporated into laboratory workflows, ensuring reproducible results, efficient turnaround times, and closer collaboration between the laboratory and endoscopy.

The Sentinel symposium at ESGE Days 2026

In addition to the exhibition area, Sentinel Diagnostics will host a symposium dedicated to the optimisation of colorectal screening, focusing on the combination of FIT testing and endoscopy to ensure quality and appropriateness throughout the care pathway. The symposium, which will take place on Thursday 14 May from 17:30 to 18:15 in Room Aqua 3+4, will bring together international opinion leaders to discuss the value of FIT for endoscopy quality, the management of early-onset colorectal cancer, and advanced resection strategies in FIT-based programmes.

Through real cases, interactive discussion, and Q&A sessions, the programme will offer practical insights to optimise screening and triage protocols, strengthening the role of laboratory diagnostics as a key partner of endoscopy in colorectal cancer prevention.

We look forward to seeing you in Milan

Participation in ESGE Days 2026 represents a key opportunity for Sentinel Diagnostics to listen and co-create with the scientific community, working together to build more effective, sustainable, and patient-centred prevention pathways. At Booth 65 at Allianz MiCo you will be able to meet the Sentinel team to discuss FIT programme implementation projects, solutions for symptomatic patient triage, and future perspectives in preventive diagnostics integrated with endoscopy.
